While I was busy folding laundry in the living room my little helper was very busy re-arranging the fridge! Apparently he did not like where I put the ketchup!

Play Day with Big Mama

On Tuesday Big Mama came over to spend the day with William and me. We picked her up in the morning and brought her back to our house to play. I am not sure if she will ever come back. Sweet Big Mama was trying to rest and William told me..."Shhhhh, Big Mama is sleeping" and then he promptly went and woke her up by climbing up in her lap. Poor Big Mama! To Nap or Not to Nap

William might be ready to give up his nap....ugh! Some days he does not nap at all and other days maybe an hour at the most. This does not work for me! I need a good 3 hour nap everyday so I can get some stuff done (ie. update this blog) while he is sleeping. I would leave him in there for quiet time but read below and you will understand why I am a little hesitant to do so......

On Monday of this week William decided to not take a nap. He stayed in his room and played quietly for a while. It was great! Then I walked by his room to put laundry away and smelled poop....now I am worried. I opened the door to find my son completely naked...well he was wearing socks...and telling me I pooped Mommy! UGH!!! Thankfully he had taken off the diaper and placed it in the middle of the floor and left it alone. I am so lucky that he decided not to paint the walls with poop. It could have been a lot worse.

After not napping on Monday we headed to the airport to pick up Will and what does William do....fall asleep!!!

Sweet William is Two!

It is so hard to believe that our little man is two! He brings so much joy and laughter to our life (and some pain....you know the terrible twos...). William talks non-stop (kind of like his Mom) and says the funniest things! He loves to tell me no... a lot! He can say his ABC's and can count to ten. He loves firetrucks, tractors, trains and any toy that makes noise. He would live outside if I let him. He loves to swing. He could sit in a swing for hours... and has for that matter.

William loves to sing. We have music class every Wednesday and he gets so much out of it. We listen to the music in the car and he sings along with the songs...it is so sweet! He also loves books! Right now his favorite books are The Potty Book for Boys and Chicka Chicka ABC....we read them no less than 5 times each at nap time and bed time.

William is now sleeping in a big boy bed...well toddler bed. His parents are too cheap to buy a twin bed right now since we just bought a house!! He thinks he is big stuff! We have had a few challenges with our new found freedom....he gets out of bed all the time! Finally we got smart and locked him in his room. He cries for a few minutes and then gives up and sings or talks until he is ready to go the bed. Yes, we do open the door once he is asleep....we are not completely mean parents!! He also enjoys taking his fire truck or tractor to bed with him. He sleeps with several animals in his bed and if you try to remove them he will promptly get out of bed and retrieve them.

We celebrated his second birthday at Little Gym...he was in heaven! From the minute we arrived to the minute we left he was running around. Everyone (parents included) had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the big event.
