Prayer Request

Don, Dick and My Dad having fun at High Point

For those of you who read our blog please pray for my Uncle Dick. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor about a week after William was born.

He had surgery last year to remove the tumor (most of it was removed) and things looked good. He traveled a lot last year and spent time with family and friends. He came up to High Point several times and we were able to visit with him. He went on several trips with Annette (his wife) and really enjoyed life. He recently took a trip with my parents to California and everyone had a wonderful time.

We just received some very sad news that the tumor has grown and has spread across to the right side of his brain. The tumor has tentacles and is inoperable. He has lost feeling in his left arm and leg and is sleeping a lot. He is not in any pain and we pray that this continues.

Please keep my uncle and aunt in your prayers. Please pray for their strength in the coming days.

Also please pray for my sweet Dad. Dick is his older brother and best friend. My dad has been by his side through everything and this most recent diagnosis is very hard on him. Please keep my dad in your prayers as well...just give him the strength to be there for my uncle and the rest of his family.

Swimming with Jett

Earlier this week we went over to our friend Jett's house to play and splash around in the pool. The boys had a great time playing in the yard and splashing each other in the pool.

A little background....Jett and William were both born on New Year's Eve (Jett is about 5 hours older) and were across the hall from each other in the hospital. Another connection Emily (Jett's mom) and I are both from Wichita Falls. My dad put her braces on....small world!!

The Children's Museum

Will and I were looking for air conditioned activities for William so we decided to take him to The Children's Museum. He had a great time running around and we enjoyed the cool air.
There was a fire truck that he loved to drive...he didn't want to get out. If the fire truck could be even better...it had a slide! He was in heaven! There were sections where the kids could play with blocks, various instruments, dress up clothes and a water feature. William loved the water feature and spent the rest of the afternoon slightly damp (it didn't bother him a bit). Then on to the section about farming. William loved the tractors even though he is still a little too small to reach the pedals. There were all kinds of farm animals and even a cow you could milk (water came out). Will and William "milked" the cow and both of them were sprayed with water.
Another section showed things you find in your house. As you can see from the pictures William liked the vacuum cleaner. Next we visited the section about animals/insects you find in your backyard (hopefully some of these animals don't live in my backyard...tarantulas and giant cock roaches!). There were turtles and William went nuts...turtle, turtle, turtle was all he talked about. He crawled through a giant ant hill and played with a spider web.
It was a fun day with William and we were all able to stay cool!

Father's Day at Lost Pines Resort

Father's Day weekend we went to Lost Pines Resort (outside of Austin) with my parents and we also met up with our dear friends from Tyler, the Rowans. We had a great time!

William loved swimming and playing with Caroline (almost 5 years old) and Michael (2 years old) Rowan. William would have stayed in the water all day if we would let him. He loved playing on the beach and dumping the sand in the pool.

He also liked playing basketball. Although the hoop was a little out of reach for him...he was able to make a basket with a little help.
Thanks Mom and Dad we had a great time!!!

First words...

William is talking non-stop! If he can't figure out what to say he just screams until we figure out what he wants!

His two favorite words are tractor and turtle. He can also say banana, waffle, toaster, high chair, cookie and cracker (William loves to eat). He said I love you to Nena (what he calls Will's mom, JaNell). He can also say flower, telephone, baby (he calls everyone a baby), bug, ball and rabbit. Another new word is Rhino (the four-wheeler at the ranch)...he is all about tractors and trucks!

He also says up, go and bye-bye....he likes to use these words a lot!!

William can also say all of his grandparents' names....SuSu and GB (my parents) and Nena and Papa (Will's parents). He can also say Tom (his cousin in Dallas) and Eme (Emily...his cousin in Indiana).

Mama and Daddy are at the top of his list. He has been saying Daddy a lot lately...it is very sweet!

Adjusting the mirror...

William loves to wear my sunglasses while he is driving.

He has the keys...watch out!

Our Blog

Since I am terrible at sending out pictures of William and updates about our family, I have created a blog so our family and friends can read about William's adventures and see pictures of our little guy as he grows up. I hope you all enjoy The Morgan Family blog.
